HAI this is day #13 and #14, post #22 and I don't have much pictures to share so I'm just gonna make this a two day/super long post lol. I'm just gonna talk about what happened on these two days and talk more about the WHY another time cause it's getting late again lol. We started watching Fight Club and omg it's really good :3 never watched it before. So the picture above is a bench that Shayaan and I made on day #13 :') it was honestly such a cool experience and it was really cool to see what goes into such fine craftsmanship. After we finished the bench, we were allowed to use the heat iron (whatever it's called) and mark the "Ishinomaki Laboratory" logo on the bench; IT'S OFFICIALLLL.

This is just a quick picture with us on the bench lol, happy to see that it was functional lol. Before we started making the bench, we did a quick wood working workshop and Chiba-san and Rebekah went over the basics/ fundamentals with us and it was really cool. I learned a lot and brought back a little souvenir that I might show later~

Also, here's a picture of the stool that are a part of their AA series. LIKE IT'S SO AMAZING GUYS. See how they are designed and how each just fit into each other PERFECTLY? Anyways, life goals in the future will be have a minimalistic house that will have Ishinomaki Laboratory furniture in it, yasss.

After the workshop and building the benches, we had a cute bbq outside the lab! It was just the team and it was a really nice and chill time. The food was freaking amazing and oof Chiba-san made this really delicious seafood in olive oil dish and it was so f00king good. It was paired with some bread and I couldn't stop eating. Being located so close to the waters, I want to try all the local seafood delicacies! Chiba-san's dad owns a sushi restaurant and it's expensive so I'm going to try to save up and have omakase there :') Also, there's this thing called hoya that translates to "sea pineapple" and it's supposed to be one of the only food that can touch on all of your taste senses.

So~ this is day #14 and today we worked on creating lamp creations that may be used for our future project on this trip! We were given time to make our own creations of what a "Ishinomaki Laboratory" lamp would be like and describe it's function and aesthetic lol. It was honestly a really cool exercise and some crazy good ideas were made from the others! Mine were alright and probs kinda wack but I personally really like it. I based mine off of a handle and a "shell back" design that allows it versatility and in which orientation you'd want to use the lamp. Maybe I'll share more another time if yalls are interested hehe.
So for dinner today we went to this one diner that was about a 20 minute walk from where we are living and the menu was HUGE. It offered both eastern and western food options and of course I had to stay true to the core and got some omurice and this one side dish that had chicken, eggplant, and mozzarella cheese. The omurice was smacks but the side dish and the mozzarella was a little too western for my taste right now haha. But overall it was a fun dinner and I enjoyed it a lot :') Alright das it I think, so gn and update yalls soon~
